(1) Map My Run- I’m a runner, and I’m always a little jealous of all my fellow runners with the super-fancy GPS watches that track your location, calories, pace, etc. But, seriously, $300ish dollars? In order to at least track my distance, I use Map My Run. You type in your starting point and can plot out a run tailored to the distance you want to cover, and you can even avoid bad running places (ie no sidewalks, etc.). There is a version that you have to pay for, but the basic version of the site is FREE!
(2) Shop it to Me. Very cool and completely free. So you sign up, then mark the stores that you like to shop at. It sends you a daily email with pictures, telling you what went on sale that day at the stores you like to shop at. I guess I always thought that items were put on sale in bulk on the same day, but it turns out that one or two items are added to the sales every day. This is a really useful site if you have coupons (for instance, I have a $10 Gap gift certificate currently burning a hole in my wallet) that you want to get the most out of.
(3) Old Navy Weekly. This site is actually going to be no longer as of April 1st, but until then you can get some pretty good deals. If you go to the site, you’ll have to hunt around for Old Navy coupons that are hidden. There are some massive ones ($75 off $100 purchase), but they’re nearly impossible to get (hidden very well, lots of crazy competition to get them). It’s generally pretty easy to get a $5 off a $25 purchase, though. You have to use the coupon within a week of when they’re posted, though. The site resets on Thursdays.
(4) Book sites- As mentioned in an earlier post- Swaptree (free!), Paperbackswap (free!) and Half.com (cheap!) are my go-to resources for free or inexpensive books.
